Spring Break Vaca Day 7 "Easter Day"

 Happy Easter Everyone!!

Our Easter was kind of a mellow one, only because i woke up really late and the girls got home from their sleepover. Our plan for today was to spend Easter at my grandma house but instead we stay home. i Didn't want to ruin the activities of the day which was coloring Easter eggs and some Easter treats. The day was spent cleaning up my kitchen cabinets, cleaning out all these bugs that we really hate so we hire an exterminator. So hubby and i are very tired, the girls were pondering around the house saying "i'm bored mommy!!" As tired i was i didn't want to leave my girls hanging and it's Easter they were expecting some fun activities i had store for them to do. The first activity, which it was mostly eating, I had made some jell-o Easter jiggles a few days ago (maybe Friday) and today they go to eat them. The next thing on our agenda was to decorate some eggs, i did't have any so i had to go downstairs to buy some. The girls had so much fun decorating the eggs, tinting the eggs and painting them too. The last thing we did was made cupcakes! Not just any cupcakes but Easter Baskets Cupcakes!! Joannelly was really into making these cupcakes i guess she get that enthusiastic from me i'm a baker myself (just not a professional one) Amelia just wanted to eat her cupcake, can't blame her. I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter, not much for me to write i'm so tired and i will call it night.

Until the next Blog!..

Valentines Day ideas for kids

Valentines Day is tomorrow. I had some ideas for the girls classmates and teachers. It's not much to show but its enough to show that we care for them. I do these crafts only because i like to do them not because i have to. Every year on Valentine's Day i believe in celebrating the holiday not just on February 14th but every single day. I also believe that the holiday was intended as a reminder to us that we need to put a hold on our busy lives to remember the ones that we love and care for. From what i can remember back in elementary school and middle school, i felt like i wasn't loved by my classmates or anyone in school...yeah i was very emotional child then i realize it really didn't matter. All the chocolate was going to be eaten and the flowers, balloons were going to died or pop. The moment i had  my children i knew what love really meant to me. So even if your not in a relationship or don't believe in Valentines Day, it's important to be reminded that someone does love you without the flowers and chocolates but just the way you are. Well here they are:

Do you celebrate Valentines Day? What are your inputs on my idea of Valentines Day?

Snowy Days 2014

There's no better way to survive this crazy weather in NYC with some games and crafts. Last night was winter snow storm and thank God hubby was already home. It started around 10 am and kept going all night. This storm wasn't as bad as the one we had in December 2013. However, the girls and i kept busy inside our apartment "nice and toasty" as Amelia puts it playing games. We also did arts n crafts, thank goodness these were Christmas gifts from my aunt and uncle. We discover a new game its really fun once we kept play the game over and over, Amelia loves it. There are other ways to active at home with our kids to be away form any storm not matter what it is, they can do the following:
  1.  Help us clean up their room
  2. Help prepare lunch or dinner
  3. Play pretend
  4. Make it a movie day: watch their favorite movies and ask them questions about it
  5. Find new food recipes to try

Whats your favorite thing to do with your little indoors on a stormy night / afternoon??

Until the next blog...

Do It Yourself Day!!

Good Morning Bloggers

I hope everyone is having a good day so far. Today is one of those mommy busy days but this morning took me by surprise. First the girls woke up without being so moody judy, then i notice Amelia picking out her clothes and got dress all by herself! Joannelly comes to me asking for school lunch which I would normally do for her but I didn't do groceries this week. To my surprise she managed to make a sandwich then added a few healthy snacks with her bottle of water. What an healthy kid I have!!

With that being said my girls are growing up to be independent little girls under my supervision of course. To be able to see that they are doing it all by themselves its amazing and made me realized that there's going to be a day when they won't need my help. But for now I'll treasure these moments and put them in my mommy memory box.

Until the next blog!!...

What i carried on my carry on bag!

Hey Bloggers,

When on vacation we got to pack the basic, well in my case i carry mostly kid basics. I created this video to share my idea of what i carry on my carry-on when we went to Disney World. It was much that i carried but i am just so impress of the quality of the bag that i brought for such a price. I purchase the bag at The Container Store and to my surprise it was on sale, like if the bag was waiting for me this whole time! So here is my video i created to share my idea of "what i carried on my carry-on bag"

May Favorites 2013 Mommy and the girls favorites

Hey Bloggers!

The Month of May has passed which was the month of Mommies! I was able to come across a few this that i have been using or reading or eating for the pass month.
My mother's day gifts:
From Joannelly
 From Amelia

I love what it said on each gift it melt my hearts that of my family had to express towards me,

 From My Husband
The Card came with flowers but by the time i did my monthly video the flowers have already died.

The next few things i have mentioned that were my (Mommy) favorites for the month of  May were the following:
My blushes:
These blushes gave me a nice spring glow and brighten up my cheeks
Left: Ipsy-Beauty Bomshell (Beach Please) $10/month Ipsy.com
Right: MAC (Stubborn) $22

My tumblr:

I use my tumblr for home-made juices, healthy protein shakes, water and delicious smoothies. It has been a helpful thing to have especially during the summer time. CVS- $5.99

Healthy Snack:
Belvita- $6.99 for a pack of 12
Belvita is breakfast biscuits and it has 19 grams of whole wheat. These breakfast biscuits are a good on-the-go breakfast when we have one of those busy morning and there's not time to make breakfast. Its very tasteful and since it has cinnamon which is a energy booster especially in the morning or whenever needed.

My Book: Stephenie Meyer- "Twilight"
It was a gift

My Girly Favorites:

Target- $1.00
I bought the glasses for our first family trip to Disney World and i thought they were adorable and affordable to wear. The girls fell in love with them!

 Joannelly's Sneakers:

Joannelly has worn these sneakers every single day since she has gotten them. Her grandmother (my mother-in-law) brought the sneakers and has become her favorite.

So that is all our May Favorites of 2013, until next blog.

Children's Carnival 2013

Hey Bloggers!

We went to the Queens Country Farm Children's Carnival the other, its the first time the girls has ever been to one. It was another exciting trip with my older sister and her two children. I thought the price was little to much to pay for a 3year old but the minute we got right in the carnival it was worth it. When we got inside the carnival the first thing we say were the ponies! it was really cute cause the girls got to feed one that was just standing tied up eating.

I was kind of scared cause the girls were close to the point. A mothers "worry to much" instinct. I enjoy doing these kind of trips with my older sister and the kids, the kids get to have fun and the parents can enjoy the fact the kids (in some cases) would be asleep early.

At the carnival, there were some rides that we enjoyed...

The tea pot ride

We waited online for the swing ride and eating our snacks.

The swing ride

We also went to a ride that was shaped like a school bus, we rode up and saw the whole carnival from up high.

The bumper car ride was really exciting, I was able to ride with Amelia. she also love cause the way the car was moving was how my husband drivers...Crazy!!

Spring/Summer trips 2012

Hey everyone!

Spring is almost here!! I love spring for the nice breezy weather and beautiful sunny days! Last spring was wonderful I spent it with my two daughters, they didn't go to public school at that time so it was a wonderful and HELPFUL idea to create an activity guide for children. Since I am a stay at home mom, I really did not want to keep them indoors a lot besides it was a fabulous time of the year. Like mention I create a list of places and things to do for my girls but it was not an essay task I had to do a lot of research for places and such around my area. This videos are some of the things we did for spring/summer. Now that my oldest daughter go to public school i will come up with new places and things to do cause the older they get the easier your list would be.

This first video we went to the library cause they had "Mad Science" to celebrate Summer Reading Program 2012 from the NY Public Library.

Me and the girls had a lot of fun and at the end of the show the librarians gave out goodie bags and a certificate, we might do it again this year.

This next video we went to the Hall of Science with my older sister and her kids. This was another exciting trip for the kids. The Hall of Science that we went to was in Queens, New York, we learn a lot in the Hall of Science and we had fun too! What helps a lot when planning these trips was not only did we go by car however me and my we would bring our own lunch that way if the kids wanted a souvenirs there would be enough money to use.

So this spring and summer i have many plans and trip for the girls but the most important part is not only planing and budgeting but also saving. if you want to plan a trip anywhere you got to save, save for any transportation needs, addmission tickets, souvenirs but also JUST HAVE FUN TOGETHER!
