First Dental Appointment

FINALLY! There teeth have been taken care of...I'm pretty sure I'm not the only parent who is late taking their kids to the dentist and still not too late to go either. Don't get me wrong they have been to the dentist before but on those mobile dentist office by my college years ago. This time my girls finally have a dentist of their own that they can keep going to,  I'm pretty excited about that. I don't know what it every time a make appointment or an errand it's like I'm earning what my sister calls it "Mommy Points" so doctors appointment completed that's 1 mommy points, groceries done mommy point. It may seem lame..whose counting mommy points anyways, but knowing that when an errand is completed it feels awesome. So for this dental appointment I got a mommy point!!

It's all about the importance of any kind of hygiene and teaching our kids how to take care so we don't have to do all the time even if it means to remind them every day to take a shower or brush their teeth. My sister and I, from what i remember, were never raised with the understanding of hygiene, my mother would just tell us "go take a shower" or "go brush your teeth". I remember going to the dentist once before in my life and i was told i needed braces after that appointment i never wanted to go back to the dentist. My mother did the best that she can when it came to our hygiene the rest was taken care of the young women in our lives....old friend, older sister and our aunts. Now that i have my girls , I will also do the best that I can to help my girls understand why it's important to take care of their hygiene and I know there are many reasons for a young girl to develop low self-esteem despite that i don't "I'm not pretty" to be one of them. I love my girls and I would always want them to always have a beautiful smile as they do now.

Spring Break Vaca Day 8 "Not Myself Day"

Mondays for me are my lazy days but this Monday i wasn't feeling like my usual self. As a mother its understandable we have those "not myself" days where our body is there but our minds are in a different worlds. And that is exactly how i felt today, i needed to get out the house for some fresh air to get my mind back to my body. It got worst till the point i ended up having an argument with my husband to the point that i found out why i was feeling the way i was feeling. Have you ever had one of those day?? I would like to know what you have done to cope with your "not myself" day. I didn't get to do laundry yesterday and it gave me the opportunity to get that fresh air i needed. The girls and i did just that and while the clothes were getting dry we went to the same pizza shop (which is now our favorite pizza shop) to get lunch and to the discount store a few stores down to finish buying all the stuff for JoJo science fair. I felt a little ok while folding the clothes, it was just something about folding clothes that keep mind off what i was thinking. It's always go to find that one thing that helps cope with your "not myself day" and its ok to get these days we are human not a machine.

Today's plan was "homework day", the girls had to finish up any homework before they go back to school this Wednesday. That plan did not go as plan but it's ok. When we were heading back home i notice Joannelly outfit and she reminded me of a little girl from our favorite store series, "
Fancy Nancy" Its about a little girl who finds anything she does and wares very fancy to her. She love all those fabulous things and walks around like she is very fancy wearing all the girly clothes, bags and shoe. Joannelly does the same-thing she finds what she wears very fancy. I love that JoJo can pick out her own outfit, she is growing up so fast and doing thing own her own being a little more independent. I am not ready for them to grow up but i do have to prepare for those stages. The girls have one day left to their spring break vacation but surprising they are happy to go back school.

Reasons Why I Shop at BJ's

This pass week the family and i went shopping at BJ's. There are many reasons why we all love BJ's, the family size food for a decent price. And provide the fresh fruits and veggies as well as bake goods. And that fact that most of the food we buy would last us probably a month however i have my own motherly reasons why i love shopping at BJ's its not a long list but its something. My 3 reasons are as follows:

  • I can make the girls school lunches

  • I can make and eat healthy meals...

  • My fridge looks nice and full...

  •  I can store the rest of the stuff in my bag storage closet.
So the next time i go shopping at BJ's wont be till the next 2 1/2 weeks from now my family are not a big eaters just a big snackers.

Christmas Gifts Ideas: Preschool classmates

So Christmas is coming soon and i have decided to create goodies bags for girls classmate. I tend to do this every year but its the first time i post it on my blog. What we have here are these cutie bags i found in in the Deals store...which by the way are adorable!! the gingerbread and the reindeer bags they flap open in other words they fold like a lunch bag. The snowman and penguin bags are cookie bags but i improvise and put goodies stuff inside. I wish i had taken a picture of the inside of each bag but i was up all night trying to fill almost 50 bags!! YIKES!! But this is what creative mothers love to do is that weird?? Like i told my sister "I don't do these things because i have to, i do them because i want to" Here's my first DIY project i got alot of likes on my instagram profile i also made a really nice creative DIY Christmas project gifts for teachers. Hope you like this idea (not really detailed but its a first DIY post) for Christmas and i promise to make my next project more detail. But what do you think of this projects i love feed backs! :)

Happy Birthday AMELIA!!

Hey bloggers!
Today I thank the Lord for blessing me a daughter 4 years ago. Right before my eyes I'm a truly grateful that my baby is not a baby another. Us mom we wish our kids to stay small but time fails us. However, Amelia being 4 felt like for forever or like how she puts it "it takes to long", but its here and she is very excited to be 4. I really do thank the Lord every day for giving my kids another year of life and I learn to appreciate them every moment I have with them. I feel its important to be this way. I didn't understand why my mom wanted to be so attach to her kids and after having mine own it became very clear why my mother was the way she was.

We are so excited because we are going to celebrate Amelia 4th birthday this Sunday. She is a huge fan of Disney Junior Princess Sofia the First, so i'm working hard to put my creativity to work once again. I am trying not to push my wallet for this party but i want to make it very presentable and look more like a elegant purple tea party.

Can't wait to show you all the decorations from the party! Until the next blog!

Do It Yourself Day!!

Good Morning Bloggers

I hope everyone is having a good day so far. Today is one of those mommy busy days but this morning took me by surprise. First the girls woke up without being so moody judy, then i notice Amelia picking out her clothes and got dress all by herself! Joannelly comes to me asking for school lunch which I would normally do for her but I didn't do groceries this week. To my surprise she managed to make a sandwich then added a few healthy snacks with her bottle of water. What an healthy kid I have!!

With that being said my girls are growing up to be independent little girls under my supervision of course. To be able to see that they are doing it all by themselves its amazing and made me realized that there's going to be a day when they won't need my help. But for now I'll treasure these moments and put them in my mommy memory box.

Until the next blog!!...

Early Morning Rush

Good Morning Bloggers!

As a mother of two girls my mornings are a bit crazy. My alarm goes of at the same time everyday and I get up 30 mins after it goes off, then I try to get ready before the girls wake up. As soon as the girls are ready we rush out the door to get to school on time. But when I have to do errands that day I don't get enough time to get breakfast so I grab some quick and healthy from the corner store that provides enough energy for the day. When it comes to a smoothie on-the-go I love to drink the Naked smoothie Green Machine. Its only 270 calories and has all the super green foods that our body needs to go with our day. I like to pair it with the KIND nutritional bar with almond, coconut, blended with honey and a variety of other healthy nuts. So when I need a pick me up to get me going on a busy day these two on-the-go breakfast does the job.

Until my next blog...
