Snowy Days 2014

There's no better way to survive this crazy weather in NYC with some games and crafts. Last night was winter snow storm and thank God hubby was already home. It started around 10 am and kept going all night. This storm wasn't as bad as the one we had in December 2013. However, the girls and i kept busy inside our apartment "nice and toasty" as Amelia puts it playing games. We also did arts n crafts, thank goodness these were Christmas gifts from my aunt and uncle. We discover a new game its really fun once we kept play the game over and over, Amelia loves it. There are other ways to active at home with our kids to be away form any storm not matter what it is, they can do the following:
  1.  Help us clean up their room
  2. Help prepare lunch or dinner
  3. Play pretend
  4. Make it a movie day: watch their favorite movies and ask them questions about it
  5. Find new food recipes to try

Whats your favorite thing to do with your little indoors on a stormy night / afternoon??

New Resolutions 2014: Bathroom Makeover

As part of my "Make it happen" resolutions I've decided to renovate my apartment and i wanted to start small. So i took advantage of my bathroom since i needed to clean it up...i figure why not go all the way. Took a trip to Marshalls with the family to find any goodies for my bathroom and i wanted to try a totally different style and color. My only problem with my bathroom that i couldn't change it up a bit was my tile patterned floor. I'm not a professional designer or went to school for it but i knew there was no way to over come that floor so i decided to keep the color and work with it. I am not getting from Marshalls but i am giving them credit in helping me redecorate my bathroom. I'm not done its just a start but i will update my final look for my bathroom when its done.

Bella Lux Shower Liners - $14.99
Bath Hotel Shower Liner - $4.99
Bathroom floor mat - $9.99

What are your have your started for your "Make it Happen" resolutions??

Laundry Days- Influenster Gain voxbox

My Laundry days are usually Thursdays for me, with my busy schedule of work and the girls. When i wash clothes at the laundromat (since i don't have a washer in my home) the girls are in school so it my "Me Time". I was fortunate to have sign up to Influenster and share all the goodies I've gotten after i signed up. I did a review on a previous blog about the Mary Kay Glam Box go ahead check it out...it was a few months back. So with this new voxbox "Gain Fling" came with so many nice goodies to try and a $10 itunes card. Its been some time since i use the products in the Gain Fling box and my clothes still smells fresh even the ones i put away. I love using Gain detergents not only because it smells so good but it also cleans very well my family clothes. All thanks to the Gain detergent single units and the Gain Fireworks Scent Booster my family's clothes smells amazingly fresh. It was fun sharing my thoughts about the Influenster voxboxes, if you want to get one of these boxes just click on highlighted word and it send you to the site. All the site is about reviewing products that the company sends you, its fun an very rewarding. Its also a free site and no monthly charges...you will get either full size products or sample size either way your getting something to share your thoughts with.

So tell me whats your favorite time to wash clothes and Detergent you use for your family??

Freezing Mornings!

Good Morning!
Where i am from its about 3 degrees today and i'm up bothered by the fact that its freezing outside and don't want my girls to freeze. So i let my girls stay home from school today i feel a little bad because at this age they love going to school. Despite weather, i was able to enjoy a little "mommy me time" where i am the only one awake enjoy my breakfast without the "little bugs" wanting my food. I also took time to post up a video blog on my YouTube channel and now enjoying watching Pretty Little Liars on Netflix.

So how are you spending your winter cold days??

Resolutions vs Finish What I Started in 2013

"New Year New Beginnings"....That's what everyone is saying nowadays but to me its more like "what i didn't finish in 2013 i will accomplished them in 2014".Many people believe that just because its a new year new goals, unless you completed your 2013 goals then yeah there's room for new goals in  2014. My goals for this year is to make things happen. If there is something i want to do this year or go somewhere, my goal is to make it happen. I have family trips i want to do this year, new experiences to try like continuing this  blog to see how far it goes. Also improve my cake decorating skills and my YouTube channel. Explore new things with my family like family workshops, Broadway shows, family events, site seeings, fitness, healthy eating, new look, home makeover etc. So this year is all about MAKING IT HAPPEN!

What do you want to make happen this year??

Until next Blog...
